My review | Simulation of power converters using matlab-simulink
10:22 AM- The work is ideal for the beginners who are interested in learning the basics of simulation.
- The simulation is designed on the basis of equations and hence, it does not require sim power system block for simulation.
- The approach of the work is very systematic. First, it derives the voltage balance equation of a particular load using KVL. Then based on the equation, the relationship of current and voltage for each component is established. Later, a simulink model is designed based only on the equations.
- The book chapter discusses the basic dc-dc converters as well as the three phase induction motor speed control using a dc-ac PWM inverter.
- The chapter although presents the comparison of simulation and experimental results however, lacks the comparison of simulation results with that of a sim power system based simulation.
